Job Description
As a Data Science SME, you’ll design, build, and deploy advanced analytics solutions that directly impact USPS operations and strategy. Role and Responsibilities:
• Collect, cleanse, and prepare data for analysis, ensuring high-quality inputs.
• Design and architect analytics solutions tailored to USPS CIO and business requirements.
• Develop prototypes, wireframes, and interactive dashboards to visualize and validate data-driven concepts.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and apply ML/statistical modeling to extract actionable insights.
• Lead research and innovation projects to push the boundaries of USPS analytics capabilities.
• Design, implement, and optimize Generative AI models (LLMs, diffusion models) for real-world applications (e.g., document summarization, virtual agents), leveraging Databricks for collaboration and scale.
• Develop and deploy computer vision models for USPS needs (e.g., image classification, OCR, automated sorting, security monitoring) using real USPS data.
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines and workflows in Databricks, facilitating experimentation and production-based code within a secure, cloud-based environment.
• Create and deliver clear reporting materials for executives and leadership, summarizing analytics progress, results, and recommendations.
