Job Summary
The Maintenance Components & Hydraulics team within Resource Industries Supply Management is seeking a talented and motivated Data Scientist to develop analyses that support strategic sourcing activities for $2.6B in spend. This role involves data collection, analysis, and application of statistical models to improve sourcing strategies, deliver cost savings, and enhance operational efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply advanced analytics, and communicate insights that drive business decisions.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain scorecards and reports by consolidating data from multiple sources.
• Assist in cost savings activities and coordinate RBM/ABP processes.
• Create cost reporting frameworks and consolidate cost savings initiatives for leadership visibility.
• Collaborate with category teams to implement strategies and tools.
• Document procedures and lead change management for new tools and processes.
• Apply statistical models and data mining techniques to generate actionable insights.
• Support monthly reporting on team metrics, cost savings, and tariff analysis.
Education & Experience Required
• Years of Experience: 3–5 years (internships accepted as experience).
• Degree Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
