- THE ROLE -
The postholder will be a full-time Data Scientist for the Artificial Intelligence Collaboration Centre (AICC), a collaboration between Ulster University (UU) and Queen’s University Belfast (QUB). They will be an integral part of a dynamic team, responsible for providing expertise in data science, leading and conducting high-quality data science research and development, and upskilling and training activities for the AICC.
They will exemplify a strong partnership approach through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be innovative, digitally savvy, highly organised, customer-centric and capable of developing and delivering training and AI solutions across a range of industries.
We may create a 12-month waiting list for the same or similar roles within the Department / Faculty. The University reserves the right to extend the waiting list across the University if required for certain posts.
- ABOUT YOU -
The postholder will be required to have:
- Degree in Computing Science, Mathematics, Data Analytics or a closely related science-based discipline.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: AI, Machine Learning, Database Technology, Data Mining, Optimisation, Statistics, Mathematics, Probability and Simulation Models.
- Extensive experience in querying and programming languages such as SQL, R and Python, along with their respective libraries for statistical modelling and machine learning with practical experience developing and deploying deep learning models using TensorFlow, Keras, or similar.
