Role description
Data Scientist Contract Remote | Atlanta, GA Preferred Join a team focused on solving complex business challenges through advanced analytics, machine learning, and optimization. This role will lead exploratory data analysis, model development, proof-of-concept creation, experimentation, and cloud deployment of data science solutions. Ideal candidates have experience with optimization techniques (LP, MIP, network optimization), demand forecasting, time series analysis, and deep learning models such as DNNs, RNNs, and LSTMs. This is a great opportunity to drive measurable impact through innovative data-driven solutions. What You'll Do: • Analyze complex datasets to uncover actionable insights and drive business decisions. • Develop forecasting, machine learning, and optimization models to solve real-world challenges. • Build dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate results to technical and business stakeholders. • Deploy and monitor data science solutions in cloud-based production environments, preferably within GCP. • Leverage Python, SQL, and modern data science tools to develop scalable analytics capabilities. • Apply operations research, optimization, and deep learning techniques to improve business performance. • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate model performance, quantify business impact, and continuously improve solutions. What We're Looking For: • Strong experience with Python, SQL, and machine learning model development. • Expertise in forecasting and predictive analytics, including time series and ARIMA models. • Experience with optimization techniques such as linear programming (LP), mixed-integer programming (MIP), and network optimization. • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred). • Familiarity with Tableau, Looker, or other data visualization tools. • Experience working with deep learning frameworks and neural network architectures (DNN, RNN, LSTM).
