Role description
Optomi, in partnership with a leading telecommunications company, is looking for a Mid/Senior Data Scientist (Capacity Planning) to join their innovative team. About the Position / Current Initiatives: Projects include building an automated AI-driven weekly insights platform, expanding transcript analytics, and workforce management scenario modeling. About the Team Structure + Culture: Team consists of three AD organizations focused on Proactive Insights, Transcript/NLP & Prompt Engineering, and Workforce Management & Scenario Modeling. High-priority initiatives with expectations to deliver initial scenarios before the end of 2026. Position Summary: The team aims to onboard 3-4 resources initially, with potential expansion to 6, focusing on projects such as building an automated AI-driven weekly insights platform, expanding transcript analytics, and workforce management scenario modeling. The role involves working within three AD organizations focused on Proactive Insights, Transcript/NLP & Prompt Engineering, and Workforce Management & Scenario Modeling. What type of experience does the right candidate have: • Expertise in Databricks and Python for development. • Experience with MLflow for model deployment and management. • Proficiency in React/Next.js for frontend development. • Strong understanding of MySQL backend with API integrations. What the responsibilities are of the right candidate: • Develop optimization models and workforce management simulations. • Design and test prompts for transcript analytics. • Support the migration of applications to hosted Azure environments. • Contribute to the development of AI agents and API integrations.
