Role description
Westwood Talents is partnering with a leading AI lab to engage independent Data Science Experts for research and applied experimentation. You’ll support data-driven model improvement, performance evaluation, and scalable experimentation workflows. Location eligibility (must be based in): United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand. What you’ll do β€’ Analyze large datasets to surface insights for model refinement β€’ Build and apply statistical/ML methods and evaluation frameworks β€’ Assess model performance and review output/data quality β€’ Create reusable tools for processing, visualization, and reporting β€’ Collaborate with research teams to test hypotheses and scale experiments What we’re looking for β€’ 3+ years in data science, ML, or related analytical work β€’ Strong Python and core libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) β€’ Solid statistics, experimental design, and model validation skills β€’ Comfort with large-scale data workflows and version control β€’ Clear written communication and cross-team collaboration Contract details β€’ Independent contractor, fully remote, flexible schedule β€’ Expected commitment: 10+ hours/week β€’ Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise β€’ Not able to support H1-B or STEM OPT at this time
