Role description
OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Analyse large datasets using tools such as Python, R, SQL, and Hadoop to extract meaningful insights and inform business strategies. Develop and implement machine learning models leveraging frameworks like TensorFlow and Spark to solve complex problems. Design and optimise database architectures to support scalable data storage solutions. Utilise AWS cloud services for data processing, storage, and deployment of machine learning models. Conduct natural language processing (NLP) tasks for text analysis and sentiment detection. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Perform data mining activities to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within diverse datasets. Write efficient scripts in Bash (Unix shell), Java, C, or VBA for automation and integration purposes. Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI, big data, and related fields to continuously enhance analytical capabilities. Qualifications Proven experience in data science or related roles with a strong portfolio of projects demonstrating expertise in machine learning and AI applications. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, C, and VBA. Extensive knowledge of big data tools including Hadoop, Spark, and SQL databases. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services for scalable data solutions. Familiarity with TensorFlow for deep learning model development. Strong understanding of database design principles and data architecture optimisation. Experience with natural language processing (NLP) techniques and tools like SAS or similar platforms is desirable. Ability to interpret complex datasets using advanced statistical methods and data mining techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills with the capacity to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
