Role description
New Contract Opportunity for an eDV Cleared Data Scientist with an Industry-Leading National Security Consultancy in London. • Active eDV Required • Up to £680 p/d Inside IR35 • 12-month engagement • Urgent requirement - ASAP start • 5 days on site in central London The Role: You will develop mission-critical data solutions for National Security clients. You will contribute to advanced projects across AI, cybersecurity, cloud, big data and digital transformation, helping to shape the future of national security. Working with datasets of varying scale, you will cleanse, integrate and analyse data to enable faster, more informed decision-making that supports the safety of the nation. Key Responsibilities: • Design and deliver data science solutions in support of national security operations. • Develop and optimise pipelines to process large, complex datasets. • Apply machine learning and statistical methods to generate actionable insight. • Produce clear visualisations to communicate results to stakeholders. • Work within agile teams to deliver robust, scalable systems. • Support cloud deployments and integration into live operational environments. Seeking Experience in most of the following: • Python or similar scripting languages for data exploration and preparation. • Machine learning and statistical methods, including model validation. • Data analytics and visualisation techniques. • Processing large datasets using batch or streaming tools such as Apache Spark. • Data acquisition and fusion approaches. • Cloud platforms (ideally AWS) and cloud-based data science solutions. • DataOps principles and practices. • Structured and unstructured databases. • Container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes. • Agile delivery methods. • Software engineering best practice, including version control and CI/CD pipelines. • Linux environments.
