Data Scientist β MRO AI Solutions (Embedded in BA)
06 Months contract
We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join a high-impact MRO AI Solutions initiative embedded within British Airways operations.
This is a premium-level opportunity for someone who can combine deep AI/ML expertise with strong business consulting capabilities to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions across airline operations.
πΉ Role Responsibilities
β’ Design and deploy predictive & prescriptive AI/ML models
β’ Perform exploratory data analysis and advanced feature engineering
β’ Collaborate closely with Data Engineering teams for model-ready datasets
β’ Translate analytical insights into business impact and operational improvements
β’ Continuously optimize model performance in production environments
β’ Build reusable AI components that can scale across multiple OpCos with minimal rework
πΉ Required Skills & Experience
β’ Strong Python expertise with TensorFlow / PyTorch
β’ Advanced statistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
β’ Experience across ML, Optimization, Simulation, GenAI, and related Data Science domains
β’ Proven experience taking models from design to production deployment, including monitoring and workflow integration
β’ Ability to integrate quickly into new teams and deliver immediate value
β’ Experience in airline operations or supply chain analytics is highly desirable
β’ Willingness for initial co-location with BA teams in London and international travel during deployment phases

β’ Strong executive communication and storytelling skills
β’ Experience in transformation or consulting-led engagements
β’ Track record of delivering measurable business outcomes
