Role description
Non-Negotiable Requirements
• 8–10+ years of Data Science experience.
• 3–4+ years of direct medical device company experience (not hospitals, clinical, or general healthcare analytics).
• Experience with CAPA, post-market surveillance, audits, non-conformances, supplier quality, and design/manufacturing quality data.
• Master's Degree is mandatory.
• Strong advanced statistics skills, including selecting methods, building models, and performing root cause analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Machine Learning, AI, unstructured data, and vector embeddings.
• Strong expertise with Azure Databricks and its AI/ML capabilities.
• Ability to independently recommend and lead data science approaches.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze medical device quality and operational data.
• Build statistical and ML/AI models to identify trends, correlations, and root causes.
• Generate proactive recommendations to improve product quality and reduce operational risk.
• Partner with the Data Engineer and leverage Azure Databricks for scalable analytics solutions.
Note: Direct medical device industry experience (minimum 3–4 years), strong advanced statistics expertise, hands-on Azure Databricks experience, and proven AI/ML capabilities. This is not a general healthcare Data Scientist role; candidates must come from a medical device design, manufacturing, or quality environment.
Interested W2 candidates with above background are preferred.
