Role description
Data Scientist I–II | Statistical Analysis & Experimentation Location: Greenwood Village, CO (4 days onsite / 1 day remote) Contract: W2, 6-month rolling (long-term) Pay: $35–$50/hour (depending on experience; strong candidates with 3–4 years of experience will be targeted near the top of the range) Start: Interviewing now Overview: Our Fortune 75 client is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Applied AI & Data Science team supporting GPT-related initiatives through statistical experimentation and model validation. This role blends data science, applied statistics, and experimentation — ideal for professionals with 1–4 years of experience, or strong recent master’s graduates with proven modeling, SQL, and statistical breadth eager to grow in an enterprise AI environment. Key Responsibilities • Design and execute experiments (A/B testing, regression, causal inference) to measure GPT and AI model performance. • Build and validate statistical models to ensure accuracy and consistency in AI-driven outputs. • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and perform ad hoc SQL investigations (SQL required, not daily use). • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (data engineering, ML, product) to interpret results and influence model development. • Visualize and present experimental findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Required Skills & Experience • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. • 1–4 years of experience in data science, statistical analysis, or experimentation. • Recent master’s graduates will be considered if they demonstrate strong modeling skills, SQL proficiency, and a broad understanding of statistics. • Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn) and SQL. • Experience with statistical programming languages such as R or Scala is a plus. • Solid understanding of hypothesis testing, regression, and model evaluation. • Excellent analytical and communication skills. Preferred • Experience with A/B testing frameworks or experimentation platforms. • Familiarity with Databricks, Spark, or Snowflake (experience with big data tools and environments preferred). • Exposure to LLM/GPT evaluation (accuracy, bias, hallucination rate). • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar. • Understanding of geospatial or visualization platforms (e.g., ArcGIS Pro) is a plus. Why You’ll Love It You’ll join a collaborative data science team driving the company's innovation in applied AI. This role offers hands-on experimentation work, visibility across multiple technical teams, and long-term growth potential within one of the most advanced enterprise AI environments in the country.
