• Overview:
As a Data Scientist within the company's Intelligent Services Group (ISG), you will join a team leveraging petabyte-scale datasets for advanced analytics and model building. Our mission is to enable intelligent, automated equipment and improve decision-making for farmers. We collaborate with product managers and data engineers to design, scale, and deliver full-stack data science solutions. Join a passionate team applying innovative technology to solve some of the world's biggest challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Communicate findings and methodologies effectively to stakeholders across various disciplines.
• Work with high-resolution machine and agronomic data to develop and test predictive models.
• Deliver production-ready machine learning solutions that generate insights and recommendations from precision agriculture data.
• Define, quantify, and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that measure successful customer outcomes.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to ensure efficient data storage and support for analytics.
Required Skills:
• Proficiency in developing production-ready models using object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Python).
• Experience with data-access technologies such as SQL, Spark, Databricks.
• Familiarity with visualization tools like Tableau, Kepler.gl.
• Knowledge of data modeling techniques including normalization, data quality assessment, attribute analysis, and performance management.
• Experience building machine learning models (e.g., regression, supervised/unsupervised learning, probabilistic inference, natural language modeling).
• Strong communication skills: leading meetings, documenting work, writing persuasively, presenting proof-of-concepts, and effective note-taking.
Preferred Qualifications (Stand-Out Skills):
• Experience with geospatial data search and analysis, geo-indexing, vector/raster data structures.
• Familiarity with remote sensing, GIS tools, and satellite imagery analysis.
• Background in computer vision and machine learning (CVML).
• Exposure to advanced AI techniques and tools.
• Portfolio of professional work (e.g., publications, patents, project work).
• Understanding of distributed datasets.
• Experience with diverse data structures: time-series, geo-tagged, text, structured, and unstructured.
• Additional programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Scala.
• Experience with simulations (e.g., Monte Carlo, Gibbs sampling).
• Knowledge of model validation, bias measurement, and drift detection.
• Proven collaboration with cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, Finance).
• Ability to communicate complex analytical insights to non-technical audiences.
