Are you a seasoned Data Scientist with a passion for unlocking business growth through data-driven insights? Weβre looking for a temporary Data Scientist to support our Business Marketing Groupβs Scaled Business Marketing team. Youβll focus on MarTech, SMB marketing, and business education, leveraging your expertise in SQL, Python, and R to perform exploratory analysis, interpret experiments, and identify growth opportunities.
Key responsibilities include partnering with marketing teams, building models, managing requests independently, and effectively communicating insights to stakeholders. Candidates should have 7+ years of analytics experience, strong business acumen, and the ability to translate requirements into impactful solutions. Responsibilities
β’ Partner with the Scaled Business Marketing team to support their goal of increasing revenue by promoting advertiser best practice adoption.
β’ Gather requirements and business context for building out new analysis and models to guide marketing efforts.
β’ Query data and execute exploratory data analysis to understand the drivers of impact. Manage requests and priorities independently.
β’ Communicate with internal stakeholders about analysis, dashboards, models, and experiments to ensure understanding of results and impact, and how they can be used is clear.
β’ Provide documentation of queries/inbound requests for future use in improving BMGβs data infrastructure.
β’ Understand existing data policy restrictions and clearly communicate where analysis is possible.
Minimum Qualifications
β’ BA/BS in Engineering, Statistics/Math, Business, or related field. 7+ years of experience in analytics or a similar field.
β’ Minimum 4 years of experience in SQL. experience in problem-solving and providing business insights and recommendations from data.
β’ Ability to communicate complex data issues to audiences of different levels of technical expertise.
β’ Demonstrated experience converting high-level requirements into meaningful analysis, visualizations, and tools.
β’ Capable of learning and applying new tools, skills, and concepts.
β’ Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment. close attention to detail.
β’ The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in Engineering, Statistics, Math, Business, or a related field, with at least seven years of experience in analytics and four years of hands-on SQL expertise.
β’ Strong problem-solving abilities and a proven track record of deriving actionable business insights from data are essential, along with the capacity to communicate complex data issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
β’ The role requires experience in translating high-level requirements into meaningful analyses, visualizations, and tools, as well as adaptability in learning new skills and managing multiple projects in a cross-functional environment with close attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
β’ MBA or graduate degree in a quantitative field, 5+ years of statistical experience (creating attribution models, A/B tests, or lift analysis).
β’ Advanced degree and extensive experience with statistical modeling and experimentation.
