Role description
Rapidly growing Digital Transformation Consultancy requires a Data Scientist contractor immediately. It will be on an Outside IR35 fully-remote contract basis to help design and deliver an LLM and AI engineering project, using AWS Bedrock and agents, to a renowned Gambling customer. Contract Details: • Start Date: Ideally immediately but by no later than Monday 9th February 2026. • Duration: 5 months. • Determination: OUTSIDE IR35. • Base: Fully Remote. • Day Rate: £500 per day. Project Scope: • LLM / AI engineering to build AI chat moderation capabilities, not traditional statistics -only DS. • Support existing team members who are already strong in ML/AI engineering. • Help design and deliver an AI chat moderator using AWS Bedrock and agents. Core Skills needed: • Strong experience with LLMs and AI engineering (LLM engineer / AI engineer). • Hands-on with AWS Bedrock, including: Working with multiple foundation models; Setting up and configuring Bedrock Agents / Agent Core. • Experience implementing LLM-based applications in production (chat, moderation, or similar). • Solid Python for prototyping and productionising LLM workflows. • Good understanding of prompt engineering and guardrails / moderation approaches. • Familiarity with integrating LLM services into existing applications (APIs, event flows). Desirable skills: • Experience with chat systems or real-time moderation. • Knowledge of basic statistics/ML to collaborate with traditional data scientists. • Exposure to AWS architecture patterns (microservices, security, observability).
