Data Scientist ⚡ Data Scientist / Machine Learning / Python, SQL, Snowflake / HealthTech 📍 Birmingham, United Kingdom (Onsite/Hybrid/Remote options) 💰 up to £500 per day Outside IR35 🕐 5 month contract (possibility of extension) 🌟Must be able to start in November A leading company in the health industry is urgently seeking an experienced, project-focused Senior Data Scientist for a critical 5-month contract engagement. This is a high-impact, Outside IR35 role focused on delivering a specific, end-to-end data product. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and deploying a crucial prediction model from concept to production, with a focus on ensuring seamless continuity and operational readiness. The Project & Scope • Core Deliverable: End-to-end development and deployment of a Prediction Model using Python. • Full Lifecycle: You will manage the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and data wrangling through to deployment to a production environment. • Stakeholder Communication: Present complex model results and technical insights clearly and confidently to non-technical business stakeholders. • Duration: Approximately 5 months, ideally commencing in early November. Your role: • ML & AI Delivery: Design, build, and deploy machine learning models and advanced analytics solutions to solve business problems4. • Modeling & Tech Stack: Use Python (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow) and SQL to develop models and extract insights5. • Scalability: Leverage Snowflake's ML solutions to deliver high-value, scalable outputs at pace6. • Production & Deployment: Support deployment workflows and collaborate with engineers to integrate models into production environments7. • Stakeholder Alignment: Work with stakeholders to understand use cases and translate them into suitable modeling approaches8. • Mentorship: Share knowledge and support junior team members through code reviews and informal mentoring. Working Arrangement • Location: Primarily Remote, but must be based within the UK time zone (GMT/BST). • Travel: Requirement for monthly or bi-monthly travel to the office for onboarding and key meetings (travel expenses covered).
