About the Role
Join the YouTube Business Impact Measurement team to support high-impact data science initiatives during a period of rapid growth. This is a 6-month contract role focused on data engineering + analytics execution, not pure research.
What You’ll Do
- Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines (ETL)
- Process large-scale datasets (millions of records) for ML models
- Perform data cleaning & preparation to accelerate insights delivery
- Analyze user study data and generate business insights
- Ensure data quality, monitoring, and performance optimization
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience (non-senior, hands-on contributor)
- Strong SQL (advanced queries, optimization)
- Strong Python (Pandas, NumPy)
- Experience with data pipelines / ETL workflows
- Ability to work independently end-to-end
Nice to Have
- Experience with GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer)
- Exposure to AI/LLMs or data-driven ML workflows
- Background in user behavior analysis / experimentation
- Familiarity with Looker or similar tools
