Data Scientist - Database Analyst/Programmer II

Location: Larne (On-site)
Contract: 12 months (Inside IR35)
Hours: 37.5 hours/week (Flexible start/finish β typically 8:00amβ4:00pm)
Weβre currently looking for a talented Data Scientist or Database Analyst Programmer to join a leading engineering organisation based in Larne, Northern Ireland.
Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Data Analyst / Programmer to support data acquisition, integration, analytics, and automation initiatives. This role focuses on developing reliable data pipelines, delivering analytics and automation solutions, and supporting business reporting and decision-making using established enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities
β’ As a Data Analyst / Programmer you will develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python, SQL, and Snowflake.
β’ Cleanse, transform, and validate large datasets to ensure data accuracy and integrity
β’ Manage scheduled data loads and perform ongoing data quality checks
β’ Support development of KPIs, dashboards, and analytical models
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve data, integration, and reporting issues
β’ Build and optimise solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate
β’ Integrate and manage CRM data (including Salesforce) to support business processes
β’ Identify and implement automation and process improvement opportunities across workflows.
Required Skills & Experience
β’ 3β5+ yearsβ experience in data science, analytics, data engineering, or automation roles
β’ Strong proficiency in Python
β’ Hands-on experience with SQL and Snowflake
β’ Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)
β’ Experience working with CRM data (Salesforce preferred)
β’ Solid understanding of data modelling, analytics, and data quality principles
β’ Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (preferred).
Preferred / Bonus Skills
β’ Exposure to machine learning or advanced analytics
β’ Experience with cloud data platforms
