Data Scientist

Position requirements: Job details • Job title :Data Scientist 4 • Duration: 8 months contract with potential extensions • Shift: Monday-Friday- 40 hours a week. • This is a remote work position. The candidate can work anywhere within the United States, however, is required to work eastern time hours (9 a.m. – 5 p.m. EST, M-F). Requirements • A master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, or computer science is preferred. Other candidates with degrees in a quantitative field and advanced undergraduate or graduate-level statistical coursework will be considered. • A minimum of 8 years in a statistical programming capacity, preferably within the medical device or biopharmaceutical industry. • Candidates must have experience programming in SAS and R directed towards analysis of clinical trial data and in supporting ETL pipelines from clinical data management to biostatistics. • Ideal candidates will have experience supporting transition of statistical analysis programs from SAS to R. • Strong programming experience within SAS, R, and SQL is required. Experience with Python, VBASIC, and a dashboard language such as PowerBI, Qlik, or Tableau is a plus. • Experience with modern database platforms, such as SnowFlake and Delta DataLake, is desired. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
