Job Description:
We are seeking a Data Scientist / Developer to join our incentives team. This hybrid role combines strong analytics and modeling expertise with hands-on technical development to support the standardization of incentive models, advanced performance analytics, backend modernization, and the build-out and maintenance of a new web-based incentive portal. You will transform complex sales and incentive data into scalable, accurate solutions that drive better decision-making across our sales channels while working in a highly agile environment that leverages AI tools to increase productivity.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, develop, and maintain complex incentive models, performance metrics, calculation logic, and advanced analytics frameworks
β’ Integrate data from multiple sources and lead the transition of existing Alteryx workflows into scalable, automated solutions using AWS Redshift and related technologies
β’ Develop and maintain automated email generation pipelines producing 750K+ personalized HTML emails per month
β’ Build and deploy serverless microservices (Lambda, API Gateway) for lightweight data collection and automation tasks
β’ Build and support backend systems and data integration processes for the new web-based incentive portal
β’ Standardize incentive structures and performance analytics across sales channels
β’ Optimize data pipelines, data models, and backend processes to improve scalability, performance, and data integrity
β’ Develop dashboards, reports, forecasts, and ad hoc analytics to deliver actionable insights to sales leadership
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical and analytical solutions
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve data quality, modeling, and performance issues
β’ Work in an AI-first development environment - using AI coding assistants (Kiro, Copilot) daily for code generation, debugging, and data exploration. Contribute to building AI-augmented automation pipelines.
β’ Work flexibly across analytics, and development tasks in a dynamic, agile environment with shifting priorities
Required Qualifications
β’ Expert-level SQL skills (T-SQL and/or Redshift SQL), including complex query writing, stored procedure development, performance tuning, and data modeling
β’ Strong proficiency in Python for data processing, transformation, automation, and building serverless functions (AWS Lambda)
β’ Experience designing and developing data integration processes, data models, and backend systems
β’ Demonstrated ability to work with AWS Redshift and S3 in cloud data environments
β’ Ability to transform business requirements into scalable technical and analytical solutions
β’ Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment with shifting requirements
β’ Excellent communication skills β able to explain complex analyses and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

β’ Bachelorβs degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology or business related field, or equivalent experience
