Role description
Our client, a leading organization in the telecommunications industry, is seeking a Data Scientist to join their team. As a Data Scientist, you will be part of the Data & Analytics department supporting strategic initiatives and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will demonstrate analytical thinking, strong collaboration skills, and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Data Scientist Location: Alpharetta, Georgia or Irving, Texas (Hybrid model: Tuesdays onsite, four days remote) What's the Job? • Design and implement innovative data solutions to enhance data clarity and reduce data transfer inefficiencies. • Develop, automate, and derive insights from analytics and reporting tools such as Qlik and Looker (Look ML). • Create compelling visualizations and storytelling to communicate new customer insights effectively. • Collaborate across teams to enrich data pipelines, semantic layers, and visualization reports, supporting various use cases like journey analysis, KPI creation, and cohort segmentation. • Formulate comprehensive 360-degree views by integrating data from multiple channels to support business performance and omni-channel optimization decisions. What's Needed? • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of relevant work experience in data analytics or related fields. • Proficiency in creating complex SQL queries from relational and non-relational data sources such as Teradata, GCP/BigQuery, Hadoop/HIVE SQL, and EDW. • Experience with data visualization tools like Looker and Qlik to develop insightful reports. • Strong programming skills in Python or similar languages, with experience in big data technology implementations. • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders, conducting research and analysis to generate meaningful insights.
