Summary
As a Consultant/Senior Data Scientist , you will partner with Customer's Design Cost and Complexity Analytics team to deliver advanced analytics and machine learning solutions that optimize vehicle cost and complexity. This role requires deep expertise in data science, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive strategic insights for operational efficiency and competitive advantage.
Roles & Responsibilities
Engage with stakeholders to understand complex business requirements and translate them into advanced data science solutions.
Provide strategic insights to reduce material costs and optimize design complexity.
Design and implement predictive and prescriptive models, leveraging cutting-edge machine learning algorithms.
Apply techniques such as data mining, statistical modeling, and optimization algorithms to uncover actionable patterns and trends.
Develop robust data pipelines for data ingestion, augmentation, and analysis, ensuring scalability and automation.
Optimize model performance for large-scale datasets and production environments.
Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI/ML, data science, and analytics tools.
Introduce innovative approaches to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and robustness of models.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to embed analytics into design workflows.
Deliver product backlog items aligned with Ford’s strategic objectives and timelines.
Required Skills
Expertise in Python, SQL, and advanced data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Strong background in machine learning, predictive analytics, and optimization techniques.
Solid foundation in mathematics, statistics, and algorithm design.
Experience with cloud platforms GCP and scalable data solutions.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of automotive design processes and cost modeling is highly desirable.

Qualifications
Master’s degree (MS) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field required.
Ph.D. preferred in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a quantitative discipline.
