Role description
Lumark Technologies, Inc. (www.lumark.com), founded in 1999, is a mature small business that provides services to Defense, Federal and Commercial clients. Lumark is responding to a contingent opportunity with the U.S. Coast Guard near Baltimore, MD, and is looking for qualified talent to come join a new team in support of Business Performance and Logistics Data Systems.
Lumark has an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist to join our team onsite with the possibility of some hybrid/remote work.
Duties
• Utilize various programming languages, tools, and platforms within the CG data systems suited for data management, analytics, and reporting.
• Develop, implement, and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to consolidate data from multiple sources (e.g., transportation management systems, warehouse management systems, external data providers).
• Automate data workflows to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent data availability for analytics and reporting.
• Ensure seamless data flow and integration across different platforms and systems.
• Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various logistics and business sources, ensuring high data quality and consistency.
• Support the development and implementation of predictive and statistical models to support asset readiness forecasting, inventory management, and operational optimization.
• Support the design and maintenance of dashboards and data visualizations to provide actionable insights to SFLC leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications
• Must hold Military Logistics Experience and at least 10 years of related experience.
• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
• Must hold or have recently held a public trust clearance or higher.
• Must reside within commuting distance of Baltimore, MD.
• U.S. Coast Guard or U.S. Navy experience is highly desired.
• Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), SharePoint.
