Data Scientist | London | Hybrid | £500 - £550 per day
We're working with one of the most influential Central Government Organisations in the current economic climate on this exciting opportunity. We are looking for a high-calibre Analytical Data Scientist to lead mission-critical projects using a sophisticated stack of SQL, Python, and R to deliver impactful insights for the GSCIP programme.
This is a high-impact contract where you will transform complex supply chain data into actionable intelligence, developing bespoke tools and interactive visualisations that shape national strategy. If you are a cleared technical expert who thrives on solving complex challenges with Pyspark and Graph data, this is the role for you.
The Role
• Lead and collaborate with a team of specialist data scientists to deliver key outputs for high-priority commissioned use cases.
• Architect and develop advanced data tools and visualisations to enhance the GSCIP analytical ecosystem.
• Execute bespoke data science projects to improve the interpretation of complex datasets and enhance overall delivery capability.
• Engage directly with senior stakeholders across government to scope requirements and deliver analysis that drives policy decisions.
• Drive technical standards by implementing best practices in Python, SQL, and R coding for high-quality project delivery.
What You'll Need
• Proven proficiency in delivering high-quality coding projects using at least two of: SQL, Python, and R.
• Significant technical data science knowledge with experience leading teams through complex, multi-stage data projects.
• Hands-on experience with Pyspark, Spark SQL, and building interactive visualisations for senior-level reporting.
• Knowledge of Graph data structures, Graph Query Languages, and Knowledge Graphs is highly desirable.
