This is a hands-on role for an intellectually curious, technically strong data scientist who enjoys working with large, complex datasets and translating advanced analytics into real-world decisions. The role sits within a collaborative data and engineering environment and offers meaningful exposure to mission-critical problems with genuine impact.
The Role The Data Scientist will work across large-scale datasets to uncover patterns, build predictive models, and develop scalable analytical systems that support data-driven decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
• Designing experiments, testing hypotheses, and building advanced statistical and machine-learning models
• Developing and maintaining real-time decision systems using predictive and optimisation techniques
• Transforming complex, manual analyses into scalable, repeatable workflows within a SaaS platform
• Modelling business and operational scenarios that influence critical decisions
• Partnering with internal analysts, engineers, and client teams to solve open-ended data problems
• Writing clean, performant, and maintainable production-quality Python code
• Contributing to end-to-end software development within an agile, scrum-based environment
What They’re Looking For
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred)
• 3+ years of hands-on data science experience in production environments
• Strong experience developing insights, KPIs, and analytics for internal and external stakeholders
• Advanced proficiency in Python and statistical analysis
• Experience applying machine-learning techniques (e.g. gradient boosting, neural networks) to real datasets
• Proven ability to solve loosely defined, ambiguous problems using data
• Comfortable working independently in fast-paced, high-expectation environments
Desirable Experience
• Active U.S. security clearance or the ability to obtain one
• Exposure to startup or high-growth technology environments
• Experience working in agile / scrum teams
• Strong SQL skills and experience building datasets from relational databases
• Familiarity with big data and streaming technologies (e.g. Spark, HDFS) and AWS
• Experience with NLP frameworks (spaCy, fastText, BERT)
• Background working with financial, supply chain, logistics, or IP-related data
• Experience working within product-led organisations
What’s On Offer
• $160–180k total compensation package
• High-impact role tackling complex, real-world data problems
• Close collaboration with engineers, product, and analytics leaders
• Opportunity to influence how advanced analytics is applied across a mission-critical platform
• Strong long-term career development in a technically rigorous environment
This role is well suited to a data scientist who thrives on complexity, values quality and ownership, and wants their work to directly influence high-stakes decision-making.
