Data Scientist Duration: 4 months Location: Remote - MUST BE UK BASED Working hours: 40 hours per week Start date: 05/01/2026 Onsite requirements: None Engagement Type: Via PAYE Hourly Rate: £41.35 LEGAL RIGHT TO WORK - All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK. No sponsorship is available for this position. Atrium Global is supporting a client in the technology industry to secure an experienced Data Scientist for a temporary assignment. Job Overview This role supports the Account Access team, focusing on Actor Appeals and Content Appeals. The work is centred on safeguarding user access across major platforms, reducing erroneous account blocks, and improving the overall user journey through strong data-driven analysis. You will partner closely with cross-functional groups including engineering, measurement, and product teams, providing robust experimentation guidance and product analytics to drive daily and monthly active user impact. A user-first mindset is essential. RESPONSIBILITIES • Deliver high-quality product analytics to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities. • Design, run, and analyse experiments, including power analysis, precision, and recall evaluations. • Apply causal inference techniques to assess the impact of product or system changes. • Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences. • Evaluate why accounts are blocked, define measurement approaches, and recommend trade-offs to reduce false positives and distinguish between benign and malicious activity. • Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and measurement teams to guide decision-making. • Support user-focused initiatives across Actor Appeals, Content Appeals, and adjacent areas such as hacked account appeals. REQUIREMENTS • 5–7 years experience in data science, product analytics, or experimentation. • Strong SQL expertise, with a clear focus on product and data-driven problem solving. • Demonstrated experience designing and analysing experiments. • Solid product analytics background with the ability to think from a user and customer perspective. • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence decision-making across cross-functional teams. • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
