Location: Trenton, NJ β Local candidates only (3 days onsite)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analysis, and will be responsible for deriving actionable insights from complex data sets to support business decisions. This is an on-site role requiring strong collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
β’ Develop, test, and deploy predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
β’ Create clear, actionable reports and visualizations for stakeholders.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including actuarial, underwriting, and IT to understand data needs and support business initiatives.
β’ Ensure data quality and integrity across multiple sources and platforms.
β’ Stay current with emerging data science methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
β’ 2-3 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
β’ Strong programming skills in Python, R, and/or SQL.
β’ Hands-on experience with machine learning libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
β’ Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
β’ Strong understanding of statistics, probability, and predictive modeling.
β’ Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
β’ Must be able to work onsite 3 days per week in New Jersey.
