Data Solutions Analyst
Job Summary
We are seeking an Analytics Engineer to help build and maintain the data foundation that enables scalable, self-service analytics across the organization. This role will focus on transforming raw data into well-structured, trusted datasets that business users and analysts can leverage to build dashboards, perform analysis, and make informed decisions.
The Analytics Engineer will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineering teams, and analysts to ensure that enterprise data is organized, documented, and governed in a way that promotes consistent reporting and efficient analytics. This role will play a key part in establishing enterprise metrics definitions, certified datasets, and data governance standards.
The ideal candidate combines strong SQL and data modeling skills with a passion for enabling others to access and use data effectively. "
Key Accountabilities / Job Functions
- Develop and maintain curated datasets within Snowflake to support enterprise analytics and reporting.
- Write advanced SQL queries to transform and structure data from multiple operational systems.
- Design data models optimized for analytics, reporting performance, and scalability.
- Partner with data engineering teams to ensure reliable data pipelines and high-quality data delivery.
- Build and manage Power BI semantic models and certified datasets that allow business users to create their own dashboards and reports.
- Provide guidance and best practices for analysts and business users working with Power BI.
- Optimize datasets and queries to ensure efficient performance for reporting and analysis.
- Define and maintain enterprise metrics and KPI definitions to ensure consistent reporting across teams.
- Establish reusable data structures that standardize key business measures and calculations.
- Ensure that critical business metrics are clearly defined, documented, and consistently applied across analytics tools.
- Develop and maintain analytics documentation, including data definitions, data lineage, and usage guidelines.
- Implement and support data governance practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability.
- Maintain a catalog of trusted data sources and promote the use of certified datasets across the organization.
- Adheres to Corporate Policies and Procedures, including Code of Conduct,
- Audit Procedures and any control related responsibility for financial data entered, stored, or reported via business systems within employee's control (list not exhaustive).
- Position will report to the Director, Global Sourcing Solutions and is responsible for supporting the data and analytics capabilities that enable reporting and decision-making across Global Sourcing & Supply Chain.
- The role focuses on developing and maintaining curated datasets and semantic data models within Snowflake and Power BI to support scalable self-service analytics.
- Responsibilities include defining and maintaining enterprise metrics, managing certified datasets, documenting analytics assets, and supporting data governance practices to ensure consistent and reliable reporting.
- The position will coordinate closely with IT, data engineering, finance systems teams, and business stakeholders across shipboard and shoreside operations to ensure data structures and analytics capabilities effectively support operational and strategic needs across all fleets and related brands.

- Understanding of workplace policies and procedures / Familiarity with team collaboration tools and techniques.
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain reliable and consistent attendance / Capacity to be punctual and meet deadlines / Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and work as part of a team / Demonstrated professionalism in all interactions and tasks.
Essential/Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
- Technical certifications a plus. 3–6+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data analytics, or business intelligence roles.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and transformation.
- Experience working with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouse platforms.
- Experience designing data models and curated datasets for analytics use cases.
- Experience supporting self-service analytics environments.
- Familiarity with Power BI datasets, semantic models, and dataflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
