Data Specialist I

The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm and we are currently seeking a Data Analyst (Excel Validation & Quality Systems) for a prominent client of ours. This position is in REMOTE. Details for the position are as follows: Data Analyst - Excel Validation & Quality Systems 📍 Remote 💵 Pay Rate: $33-$35/hour 📅 Contract through end of year About The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst with strong Excel and validation experience to support a high-impact Lab of the Future initiative. This role will focus on ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance across quality control systems in a regulated pharmaceutical environment. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute data validation protocols to ensure accuracy and reliability of QC data • Design, build, and validate complex Excel spreadsheets (formulas, macros, pivot tables) • Perform data integrity checks across systems and reporting tools • Partner with cross-functional teams to support quality control system design and compliance • Support regulatory standards related to GxP / data validation practices • Document validation processes and ensure audit readiness Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or related field • Strong experience with: • Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, macros, pivot tables) • Spreadsheet validation / worksheet validation • Data analysis in regulated environments (pharma, biotech, or medical device) • Experience supporting quality control systems or validation processes • Familiarity with tools such as Smartsheet and form creation • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills • Bilingual (required) Nice to Have • Experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) • Exposure to GMP / GxP environments • Prior work on digital transformation or “Lab of the Future” initiatives Work Environment • Remote, team-based environment • Standard business hours: Monday-Friday (8-5 or 9-6) By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
