Role description
World Wide Technology (WWT), a global technology integrator and IT solutions provider. World Wide Technology, established in 1990 in St. Louis, Missouri, collaborates with OEMs like Cisco and Dell EMC to offer infrastructure security and custom app development services to Fortune 500 companies in various sectors. World Wide Technology is looking for a Senior Data Classification Engineer. This role is part of WWT’s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT’s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner. This is a contract Role & Outside IR35 Senior Data Classification Engineer Contract Duration: 6 months Contract Location: Remote, United Kingdom Overview Seeking a hands-on Data Governance Specialist to support the enterprise migration of unstructured data governance into Varonis SaaS, with a strong focus on scalable data classification and Exact Data Match (EDM) capabilities across diverse storage platforms. Key Responsibilities • Onboard, configure, and operationalize Varonis SaaS DCE for large-scale unstructured data scanning. • Develop, implement, and maintain classification policies using regex, structured identifiers and EDM-style exact-match techniques. • Conduct classification policy QA, validation and production rollout support. • Support migration away from legacy governance tooling. Candidates will be required to go through background checks before commencing contract. Must be eligible to live and work in the specified work location. Some occasional travel maybe required.
