Role description
Position: Decision Science Analyst Locations: Plano, TX / San Antonio, TX Experience Required: 6+ years Duration: 24+ months Role Overview: The Decision Science Analyst will leverage advanced analytical and business acumen to deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations that influence key business decisions. This role requires a strong mix of quantitative expertise, problem-solving skills, and communication excellence to translate complex data into compelling narratives that drive business outcomes. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and shape analytical solution strategies. β€’ Apply advanced analytical and statistical techniques to solve medium to large-scale business challenges. β€’ Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations that influence decision-making and business strategy. β€’ Develop impactful presentations and visualizations for mid-to-senior level stakeholders. β€’ Identify and source relevant, high-quality data to support analytical projects. β€’ Integrate and transform disparate data sets while maintaining high standards of data integrity and hygiene. β€’ Document methodologies, assumptions, and validations to ensure transparency and compliance. β€’ Stay current with emerging technologies and analytical techniques to continuously enhance solution effectiveness. β€’ Communicate insights in a clear, persuasive, and business-focused manner to drive strategic decisions. β€’ Ensure all activities comply with risk and governance standards. Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Data Science, etc.) β€’ OR 4 additional years of equivalent analytical experience in lieu of degree. β€’ Minimum 6+ years of experience in data analytics or related business domains (Banking, P&C, Finance). β€’ OR β€’ Master’s/Advanced degree in a quantitative field with at least 2 years of relevant experience. β€’ Strong proficiency in statistical modeling, data manipulation, and analytical reasoning. β€’ Hands-on experience with SQL, SAS, BI tools, and data visualization platforms. β€’ Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and actionable outcomes. Preferred Skills (What Sets You Apart): β€’ 2+ years of experience in paid media analytics and in-platform analysis. β€’ Proficiency with Web Analytics tools: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics. β€’ Expertise in Tag Management tools: Tealium, Google Tag Manager (GTM), etc. β€’ Experience with journey analysis (clickstream & behavioural data mining). β€’ Strong SQL skills; Python experience is a plus. β€’ Exposure to predictive modeling and advanced analytics methods.
