Role description
The Child Center of NY strengthens children and families with skills, opportunities, and emotional support to build healthy, successful lives. The Perinatal + Early Childhood Mental Health Program's Data Specialist is responsible for managing and ensuring that all required data, related outcomes, and other performance metrics are entered in a timely fashion into the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) data system Maven and EHR. The required data is broken into three sections, clinical assessment data, mental health consultation data and family peer data. Additionally, the Data Specialist will assist the Program Director with organizing and following up with ensuring that all staff provide and/or input data in a timely fashion and complete all required assessments and/or documentation required by our DOHMH contract. The Data Specialist reports directly to the P+ECMH Program Director. This is a full time, benefitted position.
Job Responsibilities
• Mine DOHMH data system (i.e. Maven; Welligent, Microsoft Forms; Excel; Teams, etc.) for program level data on a consistent basis and follow up with site-based teams to ensure validity and compliance.
• Prepare spreadsheets and detailed reports for internal stakeholders and management, as needed.
• Monitor, data entry in Maven across all three tracks, and follows up with staff to ensure timely data entry.
• Provides analytic and technical support to the Program Director to assist with monthly program data reports.
• Offers technical support and serves as a liaison to support staff when needed with data entry into the Maven system
• Respond to inquiries and assists with all data service inquiries from DOHMH staff.
• Document solutions for all issues, develop standard response for each solution, and maintain an archive of both.
• Assist with chart reviews and surveys.
• Perform related tasks and special projects, as necessary.
• Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• College graduate, minimum of two years of college. BA preferred.
• Minimum 2 years working in P+ ECMH or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience utilizing the NYC's DOHMH Maven data system.
• IStrong written and oral communication skills in English.
• High proficiency in Microsoft tools including Excel, Word, Team, and Forms.
• Well-organized with strict attention to detail.
• Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
• Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines, and multi-task.
