Role description

firstPRO is looking for a Data Steward for our enterprise-level client for a 6+ month contract. This is an on-site position with home offices located in the Princeton, NJ area, so candidates must be local.

Responsibilities:

   • Assist in the implementation and adherence to data governance policies and procedures related to product information.

   • Support the maintenance of product data within AGILE PLM and ERP system.

   • Contribute to the execution of Product lifecycle management processes.

   • Participate in Change Analyst activities, including processing ECOs (Engineering Change Orders) and ECRs (Engineering Change Requests).

   • Help ensure compliance with GS1 guidelines plus for product data.

   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product Development, Marketing, Supply Chain, Quality) to ensure data consistency.

   • Support initiatives focused on improving data accuracy and data quality.

   • Assist in gathering information for SOX and/or Quality audit requirements related to product data.

   • Learn and contribute to our Enterprise Data Management (EDM) strategies.

   • Provide support in maintaining data standards and documentation.

   • Utilize strong communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

   • 0-2 years of experience in a data-related role (internship experience is acceptable).

   • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, ideally AGILE PLM.

   • Understanding of basic data governance principles.

   • Exposure to change management processes.

   • Familiarity with CPG manufacturing processes is a plus.

   • Exposure to ERP systems.

   • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

   • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
