Data Stewardship Consultant

Role: Enterprise Data Stewardship Job Location: Remote Duration: 12+ months Visa Type:- Only USC/GC What You’ll Be Doing: • Identify, triage, and manage data quality issues by assessing impact, aligning stakeholders, and leading remediation efforts. • Champion data governance best practices through enterprise standards, education, and change management. • Develop functional knowledge of applications supporting master data flows. • Perform root cause analysis across MDM platforms and associated data to identify and prioritize defects and enhancements. • Recommend improvements to data processes and business rule logic for data validation, matching, merging, and survivorship. • Standardize and document business definitions to support strong data governance. What You’ll Need to Have: • 5+ years of experience in data stewardship, including: • 3+ years in Product, Vendor, or Client data domains. • 2+ years working in MDM or data management systems (e.g., DBMSs, Data Lakes, Operational Data Stores). • SQL query writing experience. • Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to solve complex data problems. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple competing requests. • Experience using AI research tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot. • Advanced Excel skills. • Familiarity with geo-centric tools like Google or Bing Maps.
