Job#: 3046255 Job Description: Data Transformation Engineer Location: Pennington, NJ/ Charlotte NC/ Addison TX (Hybrid) Duration: 12 months Role Overview An experienced Data Transformation Engineer is sought to design, develop, modernize, and support enterprise-scale data integration and transformation solutions. The role involves migrating, optimizing, and supporting critical data processing workloads while ensuring scalability, resiliency, performance, and data integrity. This position will handle a mix of a 2026 program and an end-of-life technology migration program involving IBM CloudPak for Data. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop data integration and transformation solutions. • Migrate, optimize, and support critical data processing workloads. • Ensure scalability, resiliency, performance, and data integrity. • Utilize IBM CloudPak for Data (CP4D) v4.5 and IBM DataStage. • Work with Oracle and DB2 database platforms. • Perform advanced SQL and PL/SQL development. • Contribute to data modeling and support large-scale batch processing environments. • Conduct troubleshooting, performance tuning, and data validation. Required Qualifications • 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, or Data Integration. • Expertise in IBM DataStage development. • Hands-on experience with IBM CloudPak for Data (CP4D) Version 4.5. • Advanced SQL and PL/SQL programming skills. • Experience with Oracle and DB2 database platforms. • Background in data transformation and data engineering. • Experience with data modeling. • Experience designing and supporting large-scale batch processing environments. • Troubleshooting, performance tuning, and data validation skills. • Experience working in Linux/Unix environments. • Communication and stakeholder collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Cockroach or MemSQL. • Experience with Python-based scripting. • Knowledge of Oracle Golden Gate. • Familiarity with CDC (Change Data Capture) technologies. • Experience in a fast-paced Agile Development Environment. • Experience with Cloud platforms. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. • Experience supporting mission-critical financial or enterprise data platforms. • Knowledge of data governance, SOX controls, and audit requirements. • Exposure to Git-Hub Co-pilot.
