Data Visualization Analsyt

Unison Systems is seeking a Sr. Data Visualization Analyst to join our client's team in Denver, CO. This is a full-time contract position through the end of 2026, based onsite 5 days per week. The role offers competitive compensation commensurate with experience. Responsibilities: • Partner with business stakeholders to understand their questions and design clear, intuitive visuals that drive decision-making • Build customer-ready dashboards and reports in Tableau and Power BI using best practices in chart selection, color, layout, and visual hierarchy • Translate complex datasets into simple, accessible graphs and charts that prioritize clarity over complexity • Extract and shape data using SQL to prepare it for visualization • Interpret findings and construct visual narratives that communicate key insights to both technical and non-technical audiences • Iterate on designs based on stakeholder feedback to ensure dashboards are usable, elegant, and immediately understandable • Establish visualization standards, style guides, and reusable design patterns across teams Requirements: • 7+ years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence with a strong portfolio of visualization work • 7+ years designing dashboards and visuals for customer-facing or executive audiences • Hands-on expertise in both Tableau and Power BI, with deep proficiency in at least one platform • Mastery of data visualization design principles including chart selection, color theory, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and shaping • Ability to take complex datasets and produce simple, clear visuals that communicate key insights at a glance • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain visual design choices and rationale • Portfolio of dashboards, reports, or visualizations demonstrating clear, simple, well-designed data storytelling • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Information Design, or related field, or equivalent experience • Working knowledge of Python or R is a plus Unison Systems is Colorado's leading IT staffing and engineering consulting firm - apply today and let us put our 27 years of expertise to work for you.
