Job Title: Data/Visualization Engineer Location: Onsite – Beaverton, OR Contract Type: 6-Month Assignment Pay Rate: $60.00 – $70.00 per hour About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Data/Visualization Engineer to join our team in Beaverton, Oregon. This role is ideal for an analytical professional with a strong technical foundation in data engineering and visualization who thrives in a collaborative yet fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving data visualizations and pipelines that drive critical business insights. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to trace data back to its source of truth, ensuring data accuracy and reliability. You will partner closely with principal engineers, domain experts, cost analysts, finance teams, and other software engineers to develop robust data-driven solutions supporting strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities • Develop, enhance, and maintain data pipelines and visualization dashboards. • Trace back data code to validate and confirm data accuracy and the source of truth. • Work across multiple data platforms (Azure, AWS) to extract and manage structured and unstructured data. • Write, debug, and maintain scripts and code, primarily using Python and SQL. • Build and optimize Power BI dashboards to deliver actionable business insights. • Collaborate closely with principal engineers, finance partners, and business stakeholders to understand data needs. • Document data processes, share technical knowledge, and mentor junior team members when needed. • Participate actively in team discussions, bringing new ideas for automation and process improvement. Required Qualifications • 5–6 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, visualization, or analytics. • Strong knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud environments. • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and automation. • Proven expertise with Power BI for data visualization and reporting. • Demonstrated ability to independently trace and verify complex data sources. • Strong documentation and communication skills; capable of explaining technical details to non-technical stakeholders. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic team environment. Preferred Qualifications • Knowledge of financial data and cost analytics. • Previous experience with automation frameworks or scripting for process efficiency. • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset. • Experience working with leadership and VP-level stakeholders in data-driven environments. Team Environment You will be joining a collaborative team of approximately 10–12 professionals, including principal engineers, domain partners, cost analysts, finance partners, and other software engineers. This role is highly prioritized, and candidates who can start immediately will be given preference.
