Created/Revised Date: 5/15/2026 Anticipated Closing Date: 6/15/2026 Job Title: Data Visualization Specialist Location: New York, NY or San Francisco, CA Hourly Pay Range and Other Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $195-$195 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employment Type: Temporary, ~ 6 months FLSA Status: [Non-Exempt] Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9 am-6 pm Job Summary: Responsibilities • Design charts, graphs, diagrams, and infographics that translate complex datasets and technical concepts into clear, accurate, and compelling visuals • Apply and help extend Anthropic's data visualization system — chart types, color palettes, labeling conventions, accessibility standards — so data work is consistent across every surface • Partner with researchers, product marketers, comms, and policy teams to interrogate the data, understand the story, and choose the right visual form for it • Maintain accuracy and integrity in every visualization — checking the numbers, choosing honest scales, and resisting visuals that mislead • Build reusable templates and components in Figma that help the broader team produce data-informed work faster. Experience in using AI to help build these templates is a plus. • Manage multiple concurrent projects, flagging tradeoffs and keeping stakeholders informed along the way You may be a good fit if you • Have 5+ years of experience in visual design, with a portfolio that demonstrates both data visualization and general graphic design work • Are proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign) • Can translate complex or messy datasets into charts and infographics that are accurate, clear, and visually refined • Have a solid grasp of typography, color theory, layout, and hierarchy — with a sharp eye for consistency and brand alignment • Have worked within established brand systems and design guidelines, and know how to extend them without breaking them • Are comfortable owning mid-level production work — presentations, social assets, one-pagers, templated collateral — and take pride in executing it well • Communicate clearly and collaborate easily with non-design stakeholders, including researchers and subject-matter experts • Are highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Strong candidates may also have • Familiarity with data visualization systems and accessibility standards (WCAG contrast, colorblind-safe palettes) • Experience visualizing technical, scientific, or research subject matter • A working comfort with spreadsheets — enough to clean, check, and structure data before you design with it • Interest in AI and curiosity about our mission to build safe and beneficial AI systems Benefits: Eastridge Workforce Solutions offers the following benefits, subject to applicable eligibility requirements.
