Data Warehouse Analyst

Job Title: Data Warehouse Analyst / Power BI Developer Location: Tallahassee, FL | 100% Onsite Duration: 12 months + potential ext We’re looking for an experienced Data Warehouse Analyst / Power BI Developer to support enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives with the Florida Department of Transportation. This is a hands-on BI role focused on developing and optimizing Power BI semantic models, dashboards, analytical reports, and Snowflake-integrated reporting solutions. What You’ll Be Doing • Design and develop Power BI dataflows and semantic models using dimensional modeling best practices • Build advanced DAX measures and analytical logic for enterprise reporting • Develop high-performance Power BI dashboards and reports • Write and optimize complex SQL queries using CTEs, window functions, and analytical queries • Integrate Power BI with Snowflake and optimize reporting performance • Work with data engineering teams to optimize fact and dimension tables • Troubleshoot performance across Power BI, DAX, SQL, and Snowflake • Maintain data lineage, metadata, and report documentation • Translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions Required Experience • 5+ years of IT experience working with Business Intelligence tools and systems • 3–5+ years of hands-on enterprise Power BI development • Advanced DAX and Power BI semantic modeling • Advanced SQL, including CTEs, window functions, analytical queries, and optimization • Strong dimensional modeling / star schema experience • Hands-on Snowflake experience • Snowflake performance tuning, compute optimization, clustering, and cost management • Experience with Snowflake RBAC, roles, warehouse sizing, and governance • Power BI Report Builder and paginated reports • Power Query, dataflows, and workspace management • Experience integrating Power BI with Snowflake • Metadata management, data lineage, and documentation Nice to Have • Power BI Embedded • CI/CD for Power BI • Version control experience • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field — or equivalent professional experience.
