Data Warehouse Analyst

Position Overview The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is seeking an experienced Advanced Data Warehouse Analyst to support cloud-based data integration initiatives for the PALM program. This role focuses on translating business needs into system and integration requirements, designing and managing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, and ensuring accurate, reliable, and governed data delivery across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), cloud data warehousing, and legacy system modernization, including mainframe code conversion. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica IDMC and related tools • Translate business, reporting, and analytics requirements into technical integration solutions • Support both batch and real-time data integration workflows • Analyze transactional data sources and design optimized data warehouse and data mart models • Perform data modeling to support cloud data warehousing initiatives • Convert legacy mainframe code (JCL, COOLGEN, COBOL, FOCUS, WebFOCUS) into modern IDMC workflows • Analyze existing legacy logic, reports, and data flows to ensure accurate functional translation • Ensure data quality, performance optimization, and governance standards are met • Create technical designs, diagrams, and documentation for data integration solutions • Maintain and manage data warehouse metadata • Coach and mentor team members on data warehousing concepts and tools • Assist in developing and maintaining standards, methods, and best-practice documentation Required Experience • Minimum 7 years of IT experience in data warehousing and data integration • At least 4 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica IDMC and Informatica on-prem solutions • Extensive experience with data warehouse and data mart concepts • Strong expertise in modeling transactional data for analytical use • Experience with Snowflake cloud data warehouse • Expert-level skill with Informatica PowerCenter Cloud Platform • Experience with Informatica Data Quality and Informatica Data Catalog • Proficiency with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI and Tableau • Experience with relational databases including DB2, SQL Server, and Oracle Education • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field • Equivalent professional experience may be substituted for formal education Core Competencies • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong customer service orientation • Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and technologies • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability • Commitment to quality assurance and best practices
