Role description
FedTec is seeking Data Warehouse Director/Manager Location: Tallahassee, FL /Onsite The scope of this project encompasses the following tasks: RESPONSIBILITIES: As directed by the client, collaborate with the Department’s Enterprise Data Modernization Initiative (Project) committees and workgroups to prioritize the efforts related to modernizing common data strategies and interoperability solutions used within the Department. As directed by the Department collaborate with the Project team, committees, and workgroups to design the enterprise data modernization architecture framework that will support and manage data ingestion, storage, processing, and integration for internal and external data sets and include strategies to support advanced data analytics and dashboard reporting. Assist the Department in identifying and maximizing opportunities to utilize a data ingestion and storage solution to improve business processes, promote the strategic use of information technology, and enable the work force to use technologies as a competitive tool as directed. Assist in developing enterprise standards for a data ingestion and storage solution to ensure compatibility and integration of multi-vendor platforms as directed by the Department. Assist with ensuring compliance with data security and privacy as directed by the Department. Actively participate in Project status meetings as directed by the Department. Serve as Data Warehouse Director with a working title of Chief Data Officer throughout the term of the purchase order and as directed. Perform needs analysis, analyze business processes, develop process maps, and assist project team members identified in all phases of the Project as directed. As directed by the Department, facilitate meetings (i.e., schedule meetings, document decisions, and identify issues and action items) with technical and program staff identified. As directed by the Department, correspond (verbally and in written formats) with project teams, lead and workgroups, and other stakeholders identified regarding the Project activities, deliverables, and status. As directed by the Department, follow Department IT processes, and coordinate with other Department IT staff to ensure compliance with Department standards and guidelines (such as the Department Policies and Procedures), provided by the Department. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field. Equivalent work experience, including qualified experience in executive leadership or senior organizational development roles, may be substituted for the educational requirements at a rate of one year of experience for one year of education. Ten years of Information Technology (IT) and business/industry work experience, with at least five years of leadership experience managing enterprise-data governance, multiple large cross-functional teams and projects, and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders. Five years’ experience in strategic planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of large- scale integrated relational database systems. Five years of experience optimizing data integration, governance, interoperability, and visualization. Five years’ experience in operational research methods and practices, with particular attention to advanced statistical methods applied to organizational analysis.
