Database Administrator

Payrate: $50.00 - $55.00/hr. Summary: A Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of database systems. They ensure databases are available, reliable, and performant. DBAs also work to protect databases from unauthorized access and data breaches. Responsibilities: • A Data Analyst collects, cleans, and analyzes data to identify trends and patterns that inform business decision-making. • They work with large datasets, employing statistical methods, data visualization techniques, and machine learning tools to uncover actionable insights. • Data Analysts play a crucial role in helping businesses make informed decisions about their products, services, and marketing campaigns. • Job duties include collecting and cleaning data from various sources, performing data analysis using statistical methods and software, creating reports and presentations to communicate findings, and developing data-driven solutions to business problems. Skills and Qualifications: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, and Excel • Knowledge of statistical methods and data modeling • Expertise in data cleaning and preprocessing techniques • Data visualization proficiency using tools like Tableau or Power BI • Strong problem-solving skills for data-related challenges • Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders • Optional skills that may be helpful for a Data Analyst include programming skills in languages such as Python or R, knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques, experience with cloud computing platforms, and domain knowledge in specific industries. • A Data Analyst should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, exhibit attention to detail, and possess a strong curiosity and passion for data analysis. • They play a critical role in uncovering insights that drive effective decision-making and business success. Skills Needed: • Strong understanding of database concepts and technologies, such as relational databases, SQL, and database management systems • Experience with database administration tools and utilities • Ability to work with large datasets and complex queries • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Optional skills: Programming skills (Python, R), knowledge of cloud computing platforms, domain knowledge in relevant industries Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $50.00 - $55.00 /hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
