Database Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a Database Cloud Engineer in Merrimack, NH. Requirements • At least 8 years of experience working in a large database hybrid environment that includes both on-prem and public cloud resources • Proven expertise and hands on-experience with deploying and managing relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or Sybase • Expertise and experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools such as GitHub, Artifactory and Jenkins • Think innovatively and have the ability to automate various administrative tasks using Python, Groovy, Jenkins, Java, and/or shell scripting skills • Ability to evaluate and propose best-of-breed tools and engineering best-practices • Experience with configuring alerts and monitors to create a highly available platform • Experience working in a large database hybrid environment that includes both on-prem and public cloud resources • Proven expertise and hands-on with deploying and managing relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or Sybase • Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools such as GitHub, Artifactory and Jenkins • Thinks innovatively and have the ability to automate various administrative tasks using the Python, Groovy, Jenkins, Java, and/or shell scripting skills • Ability to evaluate and propose best-of-breed tools and engineering best-practices • Experience configuring alerts and monitors to create a highly available platform • Experience with on-call support, resolving incidents and release management practices • Strong communication and influencing skills Bonus Skills • Hands-on experience in Delphix /Oracle ZFS database virtualization is a plus • Working experience in masking of 'PII' data is a plus • Certification in public cloud (AWS or Azure) • Familiarity with distributed databases like Yugabyte or Cockroach The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
