Role description
Job Title: Database Developer
Location: Hybrid (1-2 days per week in Leeds)
Rate: Competitive daily rate, Outside IR35
Contract Duration: 4 months initially

Responsibilities:
• Plan and prepare for the redistribution of databases across new hardware as part of a capacity uplift programme.
• Work closely with the team to design, deploy, and optimise SQL Server databases within a Microsoft ecosystem.
• Develop and maintain T-SQL scripts to support database management and automation tasks.
• Assist with general scripting using Bash or Python to streamline processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure database solutions meet business requirements.
• Support deployment pipelines and change management, ideally using Octopus Deploy.
Requirements:
• Strong proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Solid experience working within a Microsoft ecosystem.
• Familiarity with deployment automation tools such as Octopus Deploy is advantageous.
• Some experience with general scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
