Database Developer

Job Title: Database Developer Location: Hybrid (1-2 days per week in Leeds) Rate: Competitive daily rate, Outside IR35 Contract Duration: 4 months initially Why Apply? A leading technology driven organisation are looking for an experienced Database Developer to influence database architecture, optimise performance, and contribute to the implementation of new hardware and systems, all while working within a supportive hybrid environment. Responsibilities: • Plan and prepare for the redistribution of databases across new hardware as part of a capacity uplift programme. • Work closely with the team to design, deploy, and optimise SQL Server databases within a Microsoft ecosystem. • Develop and maintain T-SQL scripts to support database management and automation tasks. • Assist with general scripting using Bash or Python to streamline processes. • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure database solutions meet business requirements. • Support deployment pipelines and change management, ideally using Octopus Deploy. Requirements: • Strong proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL. • Solid experience working within a Microsoft ecosystem. • Familiarity with deployment automation tools such as Octopus Deploy is advantageous. • Some experience with general scripting (Bash, Python, etc.) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
