Role description
Programmers.io is currently looking for a Database Developer Onsite Role in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States OPEN FOR C2C OR W2 JD- • Newest key architectures in EDB like Multi Master Replication ( On-prem PGD and AWS Pgactive). • EKS and the knowledge of Kubernetes • 8 years of experience in managing Postgres databases (EDB Eco system). 5 years of experience should be on the cloud, preferably AWS, with expertise in managing databases such as RDS services in AWS, security policy, user authentication, IAM, and database administration in AWS. • AWS RDS, EDB EPAS & Postgres Distributed (PGD) hands-on experience • Configuration and support of complex RDS Databases in AWS environment, Configuring and managing high availability, resiliency solutions leveraging Aurora Read replicas & Global Database. • Install, configure, patch, Migrate, Maintain, and upgrade Open-source Database platforms Databases like PostgreSQL, and AWS RDS. • Hands-on experience with managing EDB, Postgres Distributed (PGD) and AWS RDS Day to Day activities including health checks, assigning tasks, updating SOPs etc. • Should be able to implement effective and maintainable database coding practices that form an architectural foundation. • Responsible for evaluating patch releases and patching requests from development, and communicating constraints, issues, and timelines for deployment. • Experience in Postgres SQL performance improvement, indexing/other approaches. • Good experience in Partitioning & Sharding databases.
