Database Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a dedicated Database Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Database Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Data Management Department supporting the Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization. Job Title: Database Engineer Location:Seattle, WA (Prime Market Rates) and Addison, TX (A Market Rates) Pay Range: $71.67/hour (Seattle, WA) and $68.32/hour (Addison, TX) What's the Job? • Maintain platform stability by troubleshooting and diagnosing database issues efficiently. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure accurate implementation. • Develop and optimize data transformation processes, data structures, and metadata management. • Document deployment, maintenance, and support procedures to ensure smooth operations. • Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in CI/CD and automation. What's Needed? • Strong expertise in Oracle database management and troubleshooting SQL performance issues. • Experience with Cassandra, CQL, and DataStax tools. • Knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate replication technology and DataStage is a plus. • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and SDLC processes. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented approach.
