Job#: 3044682 Job Description: Client: Financial SErvices Team: TBA Job Title: Database Engineer 3 – Contingent Location: Charlotte, NC Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote) Contract Length: 12mo Pay Rate: $53 - $57/hr (OT40) Top Requirements • 4+ years of Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience • Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups • Experience administering and supporting SSIS and SSISDB environments • Strong database engineering, troubleshooting, and operational support experience • Ability to support production environments and participate in on-call rotations Plusses • AutoSys experience • ServiceNow experience • Data architecture support experience • Enterprise operational reporting experience • Financial services experience Job Summary In this contingent resource assignment, you will participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Database Engineering, supporting enterprise database services and data platforms. This role is focused on Microsoft SQL Server administration, Always On Availability Group support, SSIS administration, and operational database engineering activities supporting analytics and operational reporting environments. The successful candidate will work closely with business partners, application teams, infrastructure teams, and database engineering resources to ensure stability, scalability, performance, and reliability of critical enterprise database systems. This is a production support and database administration role, not a database development position. Day-to-Day Responsibilities • Administer and support Microsoft SQL Server environments • Manage and maintain SQL Server Always On Availability Groups • Administer and support SSIS and SSISDB environments • Support database-related projects, enhancements, and operational activities • Troubleshoot database performance, availability, and operational issues • Perform root cause analysis and issue resolution • Support database implementations across all SDLC environments • Respond to problem tickets, work orders, and support requests • Partner with business and technology teams to deliver database solutions • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, stability, and performance standards • Monitor database health, performance, scalability, and availability • Participate in deployment and change management activities • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge-base articles • Mentor team members and provide technical guidance when appropriate • Participate in production support and on-call rotation activities EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
