Database Engineer - Oracle

Contract Duration: 6-12+ months Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of Database Engineering experience (or equivalent through work, training, military, or education) • 5+ years supporting Oracle databases in enterprise environments • 5+ years of experience with Oracle GoldenGate replication • 5+ years of expertise in Oracle performance tuning • 5+ years working with Oracle Exadata platforms • 5+ years managing Oracle RAC environments Desired Skills & Experience • 3+ years administering SQL Server databases • Strong background in database design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization • 2+ years using Python for automation or operational tasks • Experience proactively monitoring databases for locks, failed updates, and performance bottlenecks • Experience leading automation initiatives to improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown • 90% Oracle (Exadata, RAC, GoldenGate, Performance Tuning) • 10% SQL Server Daily Responsibilities • 80% Hands?On Engineering (architecture, tuning, troubleshooting, automation) • 10% Strategic Planning & Technology Direction • 10% Cross?Team Collaboration & Consulting Posted By: Rene Sadlier
