Weβre partnering with our client, a technology-focused organization, to find a talented Database Engineer. This Temp role offers the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical systems in a highly regulated industry, leveraging cloud-based database expertise. The position is currently unlisted in location requirements, providing a dynamic work environment for a seasoned professional.
Database Engineer Responsibilities:
β’ Manage and optimize mission-critical cloud-based database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, and Dynamo DB.
β’ Develop and implement strategies to enhance database stability, resiliency, and performance while controlling expenses.
β’ Evaluate system configurations and observability tools to identify performance improvements and troubleshooting gaps.
β’ Build dashboards and leverage AI tools like Dynatrace to monitor database health and proactively address issues.
β’ Collaborate with teams to refine procedures, improve support responsiveness, and automate observability processes.
Database Engineer Qualifications:
β’ Over 10 years of experience managing complex database environments, including Oracle, SQL Server, or Postgres.
β’ Proven expertise with cloud infrastructure and systems administration in high-managed settings.
β’ Skilled in Dynatrace, Idera, and OEM, with at least 2 years of proficiency in Dynatrace.
β’ Extensive experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and Active Data Guard setup and optimization.
β’ Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with excellent communication skills.
