Job Title: Databrick Architect/Engineer Duration: 3-4 Month Contract (Potential Extension/Conversion) Location: Remote Pay Rate: $70 - $75/hr Required Skills & Experience • Proven expertise in Databricks architecture and engineering (data ingestion, transformation, optimization, etc.). • Advanced experience with Power BI, specifically semantic modeling (datasets, relationships, measures, DAX). • Strong understanding of data caching, data capture, and best practices for integrating Databricks with Power BI. • Experience working in remote, contract-based roles with minimal supervision. • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and technical documentation. Overview A client in the hospitality industry is seeking a highly skilled Databricks Architect/Engineer with deep expertise in Power BI semantic modeling for a short-term, high-impact contract. The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimizing the data pipeline between Databricks and Power BI, ensuring scalable, flexible, and efficient semantic models for enterprise reporting and analytics. Key Responsibilities • Architect and engineer robust data solutions using Databricks, focusing on seamless integration with Power BI. • Evaluate and optimize current data capture and caching strategies to improve performance and reliability. • Design and implement scalable and flexible semantic models in Power BI, tailored to business needs. • Advise on best practices for pulling data from Databricks into Power BI, ensuring efficient data refreshes and minimal latency. • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver actionable solutions. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion, transformation, and semantic modeling. • Document architecture, processes, and recommendations for ongoing support and future enhancements. Compensation: $70/hr to $75/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
