Conduct regular system updates, patches, backups, and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity.
Requirements
Proven experience in network engineering or system administration within a data centre environment.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, EIGRP routing protocols.
Hands-on expertise with Cisco ISE for identity management; Cisco ASA firewalls; Juniper devices; SDLC processes; and network management tools like SolarWinds or PRTG.
Proficiency in configuring VPNs (IPsec), SSH remote access software, SFTP/FTP file transfer protocols; NAT; high availability architectures; SAN storage solutions; and virtualisation platforms such as VMware vSphere or Hyper-V.
Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS (EC2, S3) and Azure (Virtual Networks); containerisation technologies; DevOps practices; and scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation tasks.
